Supporters of the Better Business Act

The Better Business Act was created to amend section 172 of The Companies Act. This section currently states that all directors of business, big or small, are allowed to be in control of their economical footprint, meaning deals made for the business that potentially have a bad impact on the environment were authorised to happen.

With this act in place, the state of the planet is only going to get worse, which is why as a company, we’re proud supporters of the Better Business Act.

The Better Business Act aims to ensure directors are responsible for their economical footprint, and any deals that could have a negative effect on the planet are halted. More than 1,500+ businesses support this act, and it is continuing to grow daily.

As a company, Reward-It prides itself on trying to be as sustainable as possible and offsetting any unavoidable waste. We have installed solar panels across the roof of our office that power and generate all the electricity needed to power all computers, systems, lights and equipment we need day-to-day.

Planting Trees

Our team wants to make sure we’re doing our bit to help the environment by allowing our customers to plant a tree for every order purchased with the help of Tree-Nation. Hence by planting trees at our chosen conservation projects, we can give our support to an issue that we deeply care about. Climate change is a major problem affecting our environment and is caused by many factors including deforestation. Planting trees will not only offset C02 emissions but reduce the impact of deforestation which is responsible for approximately 17% of climate change and a great factor depriving locals of essential resources.

Why should we plant trees?

Trees are an essential part of our environment. They produce the oxygen that humans rely on to respire and store carbon from the atmosphere which essentially helps combat climate change. A vast majority of wildlife depends on trees for food and shelter and trees play a huge role in preventing flooding or erosion and improves the condition of soils so that we can harvest crops – the list goes on!

“Forests support approximately 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity.”

 What Is Tree-Nation?

Tree-Nation is a non-profit organisation that has planted more than 8.7 million trees and offset more than 1.1 billion tons of CO2 emissions. The organisation’s sole mission is to reforest the world to help fight climate change, however their mission has also changed the lives of many local communities, restored deprived forests, helped preserve biodiversity, and create jobs.

“Roughly 1/3 of the world’s largest cities rely on protected forest areas for a large proportion of their drinking water.”
